We believe in a future where people and nature thrive together.
But right now, access to nature in the UK is not equal and nature in our towns and cities is in decline. Urban communities facing poverty are most affected and the divide is widening.
We’re closing the gap by making nature part of everyday life for all, co-creating healthier, happier outcomes for people and the planet.

Nature for all.
Since 2011, we’ve been deeply rooted in Reading and the Thames Valley, working with communities that mainstream nature organisations find hard to reach. We don’t arrive with ready-made answers. Instead, we invest time building trust, co-designing programmes with the people who’ll benefit from them and delivering change that actually lasts.
Our evidence-based approach blends creative arts, immersive audio technology and ecological expertise to make nature feel accessible, exciting and relevant. We meet people where they are, in the parks, woodlands and waterways on their doorstep, and help them see these spaces as their shared garden.
Now, as a registered charity, we’re scaling that impact nationally, through waymarked immersive trails and outdoor learning resources so others can create lasting change too.

Let’s ConnectOur story
The UK is one of the most nature-deprived countries in the world and the least ‘natured-connected’ globally – and this crisis hits underrepresented communities hardest.
Since 2011, we’ve dedicated ourselves to making nature part of everyday life for everyone, especially communities where poverty, displacement or systemic inequality have limited their access to natural spaces. We don’t do this as a nice-to-have but as a vital solution to the UK’s natural connection crisis.

who we are
Nature Nurture is a registered charity rooted in nature, wellbeing and social equity. We support local communities to connect to the green spaces and waterways around them.
Our committed team and network of creative partnerships work on the ground in Reading and the Thames Valley. We’re also growing our reach nationally through waymarked immersive trails and outdoor learning resources so others can create lasting change.
Our Partners
Collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do.
We’re able to ensure our projects remain free to the public thanks to the generous support and hard work of our partners and funders. This approach is vital to ensuring nature continues to be accessible for all.
